To be considered for the School Direct Programme (Salaried) with the 2Schools Consortium, candidates must have a degree at 2.2 or above, must hold a GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science. The provider may consider candidates with a 3rd class degree, but these candidates will not qualify for the PGCE, only QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Prior experience in a school is not required. However, where a candidates has been able to gain experience in schools, references from schools will prove helpful.
Prior experience does not have to be from an educational setting. Please refer to our person specification for short listing and course criteria.
In addition, anyone applying for an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course will be required to have passed the numeracy and literacy skills tests before starting the course.
Candidates are strongly recommended to take their skills tests before attending the interview.
Skills tests passes will remain valid for three years.
Everyone at 2Schools Consortium is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment and all staff and volunteers are expected to adhere to these.
