| What is the 2Schools Consortium? | |||||
The 2Schools Consortium is an Accredited Recommending Body consisting of two main partner schools:
| Both schools have been successfully involved in teacher training for a number of years and have a wealth of experience in mentoring trainees and in delivering training. The Consortium has been in operation since 2002 and has gained a reputation for training high quality teachers. | |||||
In addition to the two partner schools, there are a number of associate schools where trainees are placed for teaching practices. Recently these have been: Hadley Wood Primary, Raglan Infants, Cuckoo Hall Primary, Tottenhall Infants, St Edmunds RC Primary, Latymer-all-Saints, South Grove Primary, St. Joseph's RC Juniors, Edinburgh Primary and Churchill Nursery. |

| What is the Graduate Teacher Programme? | |||||
The Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) is an employment-based route to becoming a qualified teacher and achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The training, which normally takes three terms, takes account of previous experience and is tailored to suit individual needs. The Training and Development Agency (TDA) pays a grant to cover a trainee's salary, training and resources. Although it is possible to train as a primary or secondary teacher via this route, our consortium only trains primary teachers, who may choose to focus on Foundation and KS1 or KS1 and KS2. To be considered for the GTP, trainees must have a degree and must also hold a GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science. For more information about the GTP route into teaching visit the TTA web site or for more information about the GTP route with the 2Schools Consortium click here |
