Our places for September 2010 are now full and the application process is now closed. However, any applications received will be considered should further places become available. The next start date for our course will be September 2011. The Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) is an employment-based route to becoming a qualified teacher and achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The training, which normally takes three terms, takes account of previous experience and is tailored to suit individual needs. The Training and Development Agency (TDA) pays a grant to cover a trainee's salary, training and resources. Although it is possible to train as a primary or secondary teacher via this route, our consortium only trains primary teachers, who may choose to focus on Foundation and KS1 or KS1 and KS2. To be considered for the GTP, trainees must have a degree and must also hold a GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science. Successful applicants will be placed in one of our partnership schools. If you are considering training in your own school or if we have filled our allocation of funded places and you are in a position to arrange a self-funded placement, please click on the self funded link on the right. Please use the links on the right for further information about the course. We hope the information on this website is helpful. If you would like to find out more or have questions that are not answered, please contact us by post, phone, fax or email Further information about the GTP route into teaching can be found on the TDA web site
